Civil Society Launches Campaign for Privacy Convention

A coalition organized by the Public Voice is urging support for the Council of Europe Privacy Convention. At present, forty-one countries have ratified the Convention. The coalition is pushing for ratification in the countries that have not adopted the convention. In the United States, the Privacy Coalition has proposed a resolution for the U.S. Senate. According to one source, the ”Convention has withstood the test of time by being adaptive and fairly rigorous. Today the principles of this agreement are being examined for their applicability to the collection and processing of biometric data.” For more information, sign-up for the International Privacy Day and see the EPIC report ”Privacy and Human Rights.” (Jan. 27).

Jag undrar om det faktiskt inte är så att riksdagsledamöterna har läst 1984, och leker lite med nyspråk? Jag ser inte att namnsättningen på Polismetodutredningen kan tolkas på något annat sätt... Leos senaste blogpost..Nu kommer komplementet till FRA-lagen

Jens O: Jag är medveten om Polismetodutredningen. Igår blev jag telefonintervjuad av Rapport om den, men de slängde bara ut en kort blänkare utan mina (eller andras) kommentarer. Eriks senaste blogpost..Ironi på högsta nivå, eller?

Mycket intressant Erik och ja det ligger, en hel del ironi i det. Något annat att kika på, är "Polismetodutredningen". Polisen vill som en följd av IPRED, nu få bättre verktyg än vad upphovsrättsindustrin fick. Jens Os senaste blogpost..Lagarna och formuleringarna i dessa, får en helt annan konsekvens än det uttalade syftet
